Answer: Everyone thinks that there is a way to focus on just losing abdominal fat. Completely untrue! There is no way to focus on losing weight in one specific part of your body. The best and only way to lose your stomach is by switching to a low fat, low sugar, high protein diet and to burn more calories than you consume. That's it! Eating right and working hard is the only way. There is no quick fix.
Answer: That depends on your schedule. There is no set number of days that will equal to weight loss or muscle gain. I will tell you that once or twice a week will not do it. Weight loss is a difficult process and it means you have to be mentally prepared to take on the challenge of a training program. Being sore, tired and hungry on a weekly basis will become familiar. That being said, the more you train, the quicker you will see results. An optimal training program has a minimum of 3 days per week where every body part is targeted at least once.
Answer: On the days that you are not in the gym you should always be staying active. Do a minimum of 15 min of moderate to high intensity cardio per day. Also work on the areas and the exercises that you have difficulty with during your training days so that when you go back to the gym you can knock em out of the park! Most important, adhere to your diet. You are only doing yourself a disservice if you are eating like crap on your off days. Stay disciplined, stay focused and you’ll get there, we promise!
Answer: Yes! Although you should always consult with your physician before any training program it is safe to say that diet and exercise is probably the most recommended medication by any Doctor. Our owner is a NYS certified paramedic who has years of training in how the human body works and proper body mechanics. You will receive a full assessment to determine your range of motion in all areas and we also have capabilities to monitor your blood pressure, heart rate and even your blood glucose level for type 2 diabetics, to make sure you are not over exerting yourself. Your safety is our highest priority, Always!
Answer: Yes. Your trainer will always have your safety in mind. We require masks for entry and practice social distancing even during one on one Pt sessions. Our equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every client to ensure everyone’s safety.
Answer: Females are always afraid that if they lift weights they will begin to look too muscular. Absolute Nonsense! They just want to get toned. Well what do you think tone is? Yes, it's muscle. You have mirrors at home and there are plenty at the gym. You don't go from out of shape to overly muscular without noticing. Once you start to reach your fitness goals we can adjust your training program to concentrate on maintenance or other trouble areas that need work. Building muscle is the quickest way to burn fat on your body while at rest. To be exact your body burns 6 calories per hour per pound of muscle and 2 calories per pound of fat. So the more muscle you build the more fat you will burn without having to do anything at all.
Answer: There is obviously no cookie-cutter answer to how long it will take to meet your fitness goals, everyone is different. But if you are following your diet and consistent with your training regimen you can lose anywhere from 2-5 lbs per week. The human body plateaus very frequently so we keep track of your weight to determine when it's time to adjust your training program and begin to confuse the body so we can overcome that plateau.
Answer: We have several different packages to meet everyone's financial needs. Plans starting at 10 sessions for $300. We have 30 min and 60 min one on sessions available. Also semi-private (2-4 people) and group training as well.
